A large vintage mahogany oval extending table with cabriole legs. This is matched with eight new fully upholstered dining chairs.

Our lovely customer Nina contacted us, looking for a dining set. She wanted to achieve an old-meets-new look and asked us to find her a suitable table and chairs. After some discussion, we understood exactly what she was looking for and after some searching, we sourced a suitable table. We obtained the new parson's chairs from one of our trade suppliers. The chairs were supplied with black-painted legs. We had a paint colour mixed that matched the overall colour of the table, then used this to repaint the chair legs (to our usual multi-coat standard).

The table top had suffered over its life and came to us with a number of scratches and worst of all, a large number of white marks and white rings of varying size. We painstakingly removed the white marks and rings, then treated the scratches. We then carefully sanded the tops. Finally, we gave them three coats of water-based satin varnish.
