A classic vintage kneehole desk in elm featuring a pair of drawers to each side with a wide central drawer. The desk stands on turned legs supported by a low H stretcher. It has a panelled back.

Our lovely customer Nicola purchased an antique bureau / bookcase from us and asked if we could supply a desk and chairs to match. We sourced this craftsman made elm desk and added a pair of balloon back chairs from our stock.

Multi coat paint finish:

• thorough preparation and repairs
• professionally spray painted
• two coats of shellac based primer
• one coat of water based acrylic resin undercoat in grey.
• two coats of water based acrylic satin in 'Downpipe'.
• three coats of water based satinvarnish.

We upholstered the chair seat pads with a grey striped ticking fabric. We treated this with fabric protection.

Although not shown in our photographs, the back of the desk was also painted so it could be used in a free standing location.
