This is a classic Ducal Victoria pine country dresser with 3 doors and three drawers to the base. The upper section has two glazed display doors with an open shelved area between and a mid shelf below. The top features rounded-top doors and mid pelmet with a simple cornice which echoes the shape of the worktop front and the bottom of the base. It sits on bun feet.
We've refinished a lot of Ducal dressers; we like them because of their build quality and their style. We've seen some early examples (such as this one )but here's the earliest yet. Fortunately it has been well cared for. It has distinctive round topped doors; later examples have square top doors with arched glass panels. It also features a continuous smooth top pelmet; on later versions this is segmented. The one to have!
