This is a vintage 1950s G Plan Tola teak veneer dressing table. Two drawers to each side with a wider drawer above the knee-hole. 

Our lovely customer Katie asked us to do her a dressing table with an Oriental theme. After some searching, we came up with this G Plan example. It came with a mirror, however, Katie wanted to use her own.

Multi-coat paint finish: 

• thorough preparation
• professionally spray painted
• one coat shellac based primer
• one coat water-based acrylic resin undercoat (dark tones)
• two coats water-based acrylic satin topcoat in 'Oberon'
• one coat water-based satin varnish (also over decoupage)

The drawer fronts were decoupaged with oriental themed lanterns paper. We refitted the original handles.
