A rustic country dresser hand made from reclaimed pine. Two twin panelled doors to the base with an open shelved central section. It has three good sized drawers to the base which also features a deep solid skirting and shaped pelmet in the top of the open section. The dresser top features two deep open shelves below a shaped pelmet below a moulded cornice and carved column style detailing to either side. The back of the top is boarded.

This is a very heavy and rustic piece of furniture which we have refinished sympathetically. We have filled most of the nail holes on the sides of the dresser but have left them on the counter top.

After preparation, we professionally spray painted the piece. Starting with a coat of shellac based primer, we followed with two coats of water based acrylic resin undercoat. After that we gave it two coats of water based acrylic satin in 'Hardwick White' (which isn't white at all! ). The base cupboards were also painted inside. The worktop was sanded back and received 2 coats of water based matt varnish.  All other surfaces other than the internal cupboards received one coat of water based matt varnish.

We added new rustic cup style drawer pulls and antique style cupboard latches to complete the refinish.  

This dresser separates in two for transportation. The base is 92cm high.
