A very large oriental hardwood display cabinet; 4 glazed doors to the top section, 4 panelled doors to the base. The sides and back are also panelled. Most of the woodwork features a rounded profile. Heavy shelves. The top has a moulded cornice. All the glass has bevelled edges.

Our wonderful customer Amy spotted this cabinet on a well-known auction site. She felt it could be the perfect feature piece for a room in her major house renovation.  She contacted us as she was interested in having it properly refinished.  After agreeing on the project, we purchased the cabinet on her behalf and arranged for it to be brought to our workshops. When it arrived, its quality quickly became apparent to us. We also realised it was probably one of the heaviest pieces of furniture we had come across! It had been made in the far east from quality hardwood and was finished in a rosewood colour. It also had a mirrors inside - which Amy wanted removing.

Multi coat paint finish as follows:

• Thorough preparation
• professionally spray painted
• two coat of shellac based primer
• two coats of water-based acrylic resin based undercoat.
• three coats of water-based acrylic satin in Dimity to the exterior.
• four coats of water-based acrylic satin in Skipper Blue to the interior.
• one coat of water-based matt varnish to the interior.
• one coat of water-based satin varnish to the exterior. 

We refitted the external handles.
