A heavy reclaimed hardwood sideboard. Two wide drawers above two doors. The doors each have a pair of beaded panels, the drawers have matching beading.

Our customers Kerry and Andy made an appointment to visit the Fairy workshops, having received a recommendation from our customers Nicky and Richard. After discussions with Joy, they commisioned several pieces, one of which was this sideboard which we had in stock awaiting transformation. They wanted a bold splash of colour on a statement piece and picked this Farrow and Ball colour.

Multi-coat finish as follows: 

• Thorough preparation
• professionally spray painted
• two coats shellac based primer
• two coats water-based acrylic resin red and warm tones undercoat.
• three coats water-based acrylic satin in 'Rectory Red'
• one coat of water-based matt varnish.
• three coats water-based satin varnish to the top.

We refitted the original cast iron door knobs and sourced new cast iron drawer pulls to match.
