An imposing 1920s antique mahogany sideboard with 2 cupboards and 2 drawers to the base. It features panelled doors with a raised panel in between. This raised panel is echoed on the drawer fronts. It sits on four large bun feet above which is an unusual reverse corniced skirting. The worktop edge is heavily moulded. The top section has a large mirror at the back flanked on each side by a fluted column with attractive capital. These support a box canopy which has a dentil rail and cornice.

After preparation, we gave the sideboard 2 coats of shellac based primer sealer, followed by a coat of water based acrylic resin undercoat. We then painted the sideboard with 2 coats of water based acrylic satin; the colour is Wimbourne White. The worktop then received a coat of water based varnish. Finally, we carnauba waxed the whole piece.

The sideboard separates in two for transportation. The base is 97cm tall.
