An antique Georgian linen press featuring carvings to the top section and an impressive crown. We have fully refurbished this impressive piece of antique furniture. It is brimming with character and still has its original plate glass. It arrived with us in need of tlc so we gave it plenty.

We sanded the full piece and our clever "Practical Fairy" corrected a couple of hundred years of wear to the the drawer runners, the doors and the top cornice. We also treated it thoroughly for (long-gone) woodworm. After priming and undercoating we hand painted the piece in Farrow & Ball "Cord" Acrylic water based satin which we think is in keeping. The inside of the display cupboard has been given 2 new pine shelves as the originals were very bent. We painted the inside using Laura Ashley "Pale Linen" We had also to replace the display cabinet handle as the original was broken and couldn't be repaired.
