This is a hand painted Cabinet / Bookcase with two glazed doors and two drawers below. It is solid pine and in its previous life was a media cabinet. Our practical fairy got to work on it and removed all the inner sections and created a very solid (MDF) shelf for the inside.
We sanded, primed and undercoated the whole piece before painting in "Blue Fairy" water based Acrylic satin. We papered the new back panel in Butterfly paper. All the paintwork was waxed using Carnuba wax to give it a durable and smooth finish. Our Artistic fairy added her own painted and decoupaged door/ drawer pulls to complete the new look.
