An elegant wide oak antique wardrobe with single mirrored door and wide drawer below. We have fully refurbished this piece of antique furniture. It arrived with us without a Cornice so we gave it a new one to show how elegant it is.

We gave it a good woodworm treatment although this was long gone. We sanded the full piece and then primed, undercoated and painted it in "Pale Linen" Acrylic satin paint. The wardrobe still has its original hooks and has also had a contemporary hanging rail fitted which was done prior to us acquiring the piece. (Clothes hangers only came into use in the early part of the 20th century).The drawer at the bottom is a very good size for storage of linen or clothing. We added antique handles to the drawer as it came with some dodgy looking plastic knobs! As with all our painted furniture this piece has also been waxed with carnauba for protection and to leave a soft silky finish. The wardrobe separates into three pieces for transoportation.
