An imposing antique Victorian dressing table. Two deep drawers to the base with smaller drawers to either side of the cut-out. The mirror is supported on either side by ornate carved panels each carrying a jewellery drawer on feet. The tall mirror is top by an ornate carved crown piece above dentil moulding.

Our clever "Practical Fairy" has done a real restorative rebuild on this one. One of the jewellery drawers at the top had lost its front feet so he made it 2 new ones. It also had a section of missing skirting around the bottom, so he replaced that too. The mirror carving at the top had been munched in the past by woodworm so to make sure it was historic we gave it a good treatment.

The dressing table was then sanded and prepped prior to painting. After priming and undercoating, we painted in "Pale Linen" water based acrylic satin. As with all our painted pieces, we have carnauba waxed for protection and to leave a soft and silky finish. All the drawers still have the original handles with one small repair. We have replaced the mirror with a new one as the foxing on the original spoilt the look.
